Our Organic Whole Allspice is made from the dried, unripe berries of the pimento tree. It's called allspice because of its special fragrant flavour. The taste and aroma of allspice includes notes of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
For cooking, baking and for tea
Allspice is versatile and can be added to savoury and sweet dishes, and even brewed as a tea.
You can add it to tabbouleh, salads, soups, stews, marinades, and Middle Eastern dishes. It also gives a wonderful warm aroma to baked goods such as biscuits, cakes and pies.
